Custom Fabrication
Custom Components, Parts & Assemblies
Replacement parts and multi-part weldments, reproduced accurately.
When a component is discontinued, back-ordered for months, or was never strong enough to begin with, it can be reproduced. Bring the broken part — or a photo and measurements of it — and it can be drawn, improved where it failed, and built.
This work spans single replacement components through to multi-part assemblies where several fabricated pieces have to bolt or weld together and hold tolerance between them.
Reverse engineering a broken part
A failed component still contains all the information needed to rebuild it. Even in pieces, hole centres, plate thicknesses and pivot geometry can be measured and reconstructed in CAD, and the fracture surface itself shows how the load was actually travelling through the part.
That last point is what allows the replacement to be better than the original: material can be added where the crack started without changing anything that has to fit.
Assemblies and fit tolerance
When several parts have to work together, sequence and fixturing control the result. Welding distorts, and a multi-part assembly welded in the wrong order pulls itself out of alignment before the last joint is finished.
Weld sequence is planned, critical dimensions are checked between passes, and where needed final machining allowance is left in the design.

On site versus shop work
For assemblies, on-site work is mostly measurement, trial fitting and installation. The fabrication itself benefits from fixtures and controlled conditions, so parts are typically built off site and brought out to fit.
Where a machine cannot be moved and a part has to be built in place around existing geometry, that is done too — it takes longer, and the quote will say so honestly rather than promising shop tolerances in a field.
